MAIN ROADS

Main Roads

UNDER PRESSURE

ASSESSMENT – Engaged to undertake an assessment of the host pressure pipe using our CCTV camera with recording facilities.

DIAGNOSIS – Advising Main Roads on a defective irrigation water pipe that was leaking in an overpass on the ‘Narrows Bridge’ in Perth City.

OUR SOLUTION – Proposing the suitable solutions and installing an increased thickness of structural ‘All Patch’. This will withstand 5 bar internal water pressure on their irrigation main, being 340mm in diameter.

DEFECTIVE LATERAL CONNECTION

DIAGNOSIS – CCTV inspection work of carrier sewer and household laterals entering the main line. Identification of damage caused by root infestation.

LOCATION – Adjacent to swimming pool and retaining wall. No option for excavation.

OUR SOLUTION – Hydro blasting was undertaken to remove the roots. This was closely monitored by our CCTV camera unit to ensure unnecessary further damage to defective pipe.

TOWN OF CAMBRIDGE

TASK – Mapping of uncharted drainage systems, identifying and exposing buried manholes, recording locations, depths and defects.

DIAGNOSIS – Structural point repairs required to storm drains.

OUR SOLUTION – Installation of ‘All Patch’ spot repairs in a concrete 225mm diameter storm drain. This process has the benefit of carrying out a localised repair to a drain or sewer pipe where damage has only occurred in a few locations, saving full length renovation costs.

ST GEORGES COLLEGE PROJECT

St George's College

DIAGNOSIS – Root removal required using high pressure water jetting

OUR SOLUTION – Installation of an ‘All Patch’ repair in the outlet pipe located in a 7m deep Access Chamber – Liaised with Water Corporation to obtain Permit Entry to operate on their network.

Fremantle PortsNORTH QUAY STORM DRAIN RENOVATION

ASSESSMENT – Engaged to undertake detailed inspection and assessment of the old concrete storm drains, at North Quay. Fremantle Ports are investing in the upgrade of the North Quay and ensuring the existing drainage infrastructure was in good condition and fit for purpose, was imperative.

DIAGNOSIS – CCTV surveys were undertaken. Reports and recommendations were submitted for their assessment.

OUR SOLUTION – A major defect, to the point of collapse was identified requiring an urgent ‘All Patch’ Structural Point Repair. This drain repair technique requires no excavation. Accessing the storm drain from existing chambers, greatly reducing the disruption on the Quay with the added bonus of a lower environmental impact than excavation.

PIPE BEYOND REPAIR

Allpipe Technologies were approached by the Water Corporation to provide recommendations and permanent solutions to ongoing blockage problems with an existing sewer line.

Their drain line had been an ongoing problem, requiring costly maintenance and unwanted disruption to the residents.

The existing pipe had initially deteriorated through root ingress but had become structurally unsound as a consequence of ongoing jet cleaning, which had washed away the pipe support.

As the sewer was located adjacent to the property at a depth of 3.2m it was virtually impossible to excavate and replace, and cost prohibitive.

Allpipe Technologies installed ‘All Patch’ repairs to the defective areas after intensive cleaning, closely monitored by our CCTV, ensuring maximum root removal and minimum further damage to the pipe. This provided structural stability, a greatly improved flow, and low cost maintenance solution.
