The Mindarie Regional Council (MRC) is one of Western Australia’s largest waste management authorities. They assist their member councils (mainly located in Perth’s northern corridor) deal with their waste and have a mission to encourage a culture of waste minimisation, maximise resource recovery and minimise waste to landfill.
We were approached by MRC to inspect 8 identified borehole shafts at the Tamala Park Waste Management Facility and identify water levels and look for defects to existing pipes.
Using remote controlled CCTV cameras, Allpipe Technologies inspected 8 boreholes that were 50mm in diameter and ranging from 30m to 60m deep.
The small CCTV cameras can fit into pipes and drains as narrow as 20mm so the small 50mm diameter boreholes weren’t an issue. The CCTV cameras also allow the team to inspect the pipes without digging and damaging the surrounding landscape and also provide 500m of uninterrupted footage.
With the high quality video, Allpipe Technologies were able to accurately identify water levels in the pipes, the condition of the pipes and what approach to take to rectify the issues.
We provided MRC with a detailed summary report outlining the condition of each of the borehole shafts. This report included detailed information on water levels, structural conditions and high resolution images of the pipes themselves
Detailed notes and recommendations were supplied for each of the inspections. We analysed the results and suggested the best way forward to rectify all of the issues we discovered in the pipes.
