Allpipe Technologies are the leading CCTV pipe inspection company in Perth. We conduct underground asset audits utilising the latest technology and methods, to deliver tangible value for municipalities, authorities and private companies.
The City of Fremantle is one such organisation. The City of Fremantle manages more than 100km of pipeline, representing significant value both economically and for thousands of residents and businesses who call the suburb home.
Awareness and maintenance of underground assets has never been more important for these organisations as they seek not only to maintain an optimum level of service but also reduce the risk of disruption and disaster as close to zero as possible.
Using GPS information supplied by the City as a starting point, our team surveyed the extensive drainage pipe network around Phillimore street. We first wanted to map the length, depth, diameter, material and start/finish points of the drainage pipes. We also identified new, missing or disconnected pipes to update the City’s records.
Details of the pipe condition, gulleys, soak wells, and access chamber pits were recorded, and clear images provided. To do this we used high definition pipe inspection cameras with accurate GPS location data.
Auditing provides visibility over assets hidden underground from both a maintenance and financial perspective. With regular asset assessments, clients like the City of Fremantle see several benefits:
Allpipe Technologies stand out among CCTV pipe inspection companies because we have the newest imaging technology and highly skilled operators, ensuring no detail is missed. We carried out a thorough and detailed underground asset inspection with surprising – and valuable – results for the City of Fremantle.
We provided the City of Fremantle with HD videos taken by our pipe inspection cameras. Each pipe survey was individually labelled with detailed metadata, for the City to maintain consistent records going forward.
Our equipment captured a large amount of data which then needed to be analysed and cleaned for presentation. We provided the City with a simplified PDF survey report with high-definition JPEGs of assets, plus a spreadsheet containing all the depth, diameter, access and material data.
Accurate location data helps the City to efficiently maintain assets in the future. In our report we provided GPS coordinates of all gulleys, soak wells and access chambers in the network.
Any defects our CCTV pipe inspection revealed, no matter how minor, were clearly detailed in a summary spreadsheet. In addition to clear images of the defect we described the issue in depth, including its potential impact on service or structural concerns.
To complete the picture for the City we modified the maps they supplied to show new pipes and mark disconnected or missing pipes. This will greatly streamline maintenance and works in the future, as well as improve fault and blockage handling.
